Is there an easy way to check if forums have dofollow links enabled? This would make it much easier for me.

You can just highlight the link and right click, then click view source. I believe if you don't see nofollow anywhere it is a dofollow forum. Mozilla has a plugin for this, I'm pretty sure.

I have installed a small Firefox addon for this purpose:
https://addons.mozil...don/nodofollow/

  • You right-click and enable "NoDoFollow".
  • Reload the page
  • All dofollow links will now be blue, all nofollow will be red.

Ah thanks for that Kenneth, I too use Firefox, this is exactly what I was looking for. It makes it ten times easier.

When you do link building, it is better if you consider do follow link so that you can easily get backlinks that needed to increase your site ranking, you must also consider high PR blogs and forums.

Great tips Ashia and Kenneth. I added that dofollow add-on to my Firefox browser and now it is easy for me to build links on dofollow forums/blogs.

Yes, but also get nofollow as well, otherwise your inbound links will not look natural - and I bet Google knows that as well :)

Download the free "Comment Kahuna" to find high PR blogs and then manually leave useful comments with your link to each blog instead of letting the software do it automatically.

Download the SEO Toolbar for mozilla. You will have a button to check. You just have to create a link, highlight it and click the button to see whether it turns red or not. If it does not turn red then it is a do follow.

There are different firefox addons you can use to check those no follow links.I personally use search status firefox addon and it highlights the nofollow link in red color.

Click on any web page and right click "view page source". Then press "ctrl+F" and enter do-follow or no-follow. It'l highlight if the words are present or not.

You can use a Firefox plugin, they're good if you manually search for blogs.

I use a free tool that searches for blogs, not only does it tell me if they're nofollow or not, but they also give me the page rank.

This free tool isn't automatic, it just finds blogs depending on your keywords and you can then leave comments as per normal. It's pretty good, it's called Comment Kahuna.
