Yes, today ICANN approved the new .XXX  TLD extension.
This means you will be able to register "mydomain.xxx" in the near future (don't know when).

The new gTLD is supposed to be used for the adult industry.

A good investment would be to buy some domains as soon as they come out with all the most famous combinations of words, they will be worth a lot in the future.

They are hard to get though.
Most of the good domains will be taken during the pre-register period, where the rest of us can't bid :(

What a good news for the adult websites. However I dont support it as I think it will increase the amount of adult sites in the web.

Agree, the .com adult sites will not decrease because of this new domain, they have used too much time "branding" the domains. Instead we will see an increase of adult sites since they have more "good" domains to build on.
