This is a guide written and provided by MakeMoneyForum.com (MMF)
The guide will be updated when needed.

Disclaimer: Following this guide is at your own risk, we can't guarantee a 100% success rate.

UPDATE: We highly recommend you read this topic too:
How to make a micro niche adsense blog using the MMF Theme

Table of Content

Step 1: Introduction
Step 2: Keyword Research
Step 3: Domain and Webhosting
Step 4: Installation of Website Software etc.
Step 5: Content
Step 6: Backlinking
Step 7: Cost

Step 1: Introduction
The purpose with this guide is to provide an easy solution for new members to make money online.

Small niche blogs (5 of them) based on Adsense is the fastest way to get started and we will teach you how! Just ask in our forums if you have any questions.

You should be able to earn at least $100 per month, if followed correctly.
It's very easy to get started and require no more than 7 days from start to finish.

This guide is quite long, so lets get started :)

Step 2: Keyword Research
Keyword research is by far the most important step when creating small adsense websites.
You will not be able to generate enough traffic without the right keyword, does not matter how many backlinks you build.

No traffic = no income.

Quote

"What happens if I choose a bad keyword?"

Well, mainly one of two things happens if you choose a bad keyword:

  • No traffic because your keyword receive no searches.
  • No traffic because your keyword is too hard to compete for.

This video will teach you how to find good keywords using Micro Niche Finder.

Step 3: Domain and Web hosting

Warning: Don't buy web hosting where you buy your domains, you might get into problems when trying to change web hosting or domain registrar - you want to keep it separate !

In Step 2 you found a keyword, now it's time to find a domain matching that keyword.

If your keyword is ... "red turtles" ... then your domain name needs to be "redturtles.com" too (or .net/.org).
It will be much easier for you to rank #1 in Google (and receive more than 50% of all clicks) if you have the exact keyword as the domain name.

We recommend to use one of the following domain registrars (you can ask in this forum for coupons to lower the cost):

Web Hosting
It's very important to select a good web hosting company.

Your running an online business and need to do everything possible to make sure your websites are open for visitors 24/7.
Select a web host which provide fast and stable servers for your websites.

We highly recommend these web hosting companies:

(note: Always choose Linux over Windows hosting, if possible)

Step 4: Installation of Website Software etc.
You got a keyword, domain and web hosting - now it's time to get everything up and running.

You should have an email containing your cPanel Username and Password, the email was send from your new hosting provider.
Go to "www.YourDomainName.com/cpanel" type the username and password you received from your hosting provider.

This is cPanel:
(it might look confusing to some people, but it's quite simple to use)

Click the "Fantastico De Luxe" icon in your cPanel account, it looks like a big smiley.
This will take you to a page where you can install a lot of 3rd party software (free):

  • Click the "New Installation (x.x.x)" link

Your new WordPress blog website is up and running now.

  • Copy and Paste the text below into the "Custom Structure" input box (as illustrated above):

Step 5: Content
The blog needs content, UNIQUE CONTENT!
You need to write 4 pages of content (3-400 words) or pay someone to do it for you.

  • Each page needs to be written for a keyword related to your main keyword.
If your main keyword is "blue slippers", then your article keywords needs to be something like "big blue slippers", "cheap blue slippers", "blue slippers for men" etc. You need to do keyword research to get these extra keywords! If you fail to find 4 keywords based on your main keyword, then just write 4 articles based about your main keyword.

  • Try to write product reviews (if possible). Go to the big sites in your niche and read reviews posted by users, this will give you some material to work with when writing the articles/reviews.
  • Each page of content need a small image in top, matching to the content of the article of cause.
  • Include your keyword in the title of each article.
  • Include your keyword 3 times during the content of each article (not counting the title).

Article Setup
Correct placement of your Adsense Ad means everything.
A small change to the placement can drop the CTR by 30-50% (clicks per pageview), this is not a joke.

There are a few Adsense rules you need to follow:
  • Ads must not be placed directly below the title of an article.
  • You must never ask a visitor to click an Ad.

Good suggestions:
  • Use same font color and size as the content of the article.
  • Use a background matching the rest of the page, make it blend in.
  • Use same colors as the one I have in the image below, if posted on a white page with black text.

You need to place your Adsense Ad like this:

Posted Image

(TITLE)
(SMALL 1 LINE INTRO TEXT)
(ADSENSE 336x280 AD)
(CONTENT)

Step 6: Backlinkning
Backlinks is what makes your website rank in Google.
Google think your website is important if you got backlinks.

  • A backlink is when another website link to your website.
  • A backlink need to contain your keyword (anchor text), since Google then think that your website is important for that keyword.
  • Each page you write for your website need to have backlinks pointing to that specific page. The anchor text of the backlink needs to match your keyword (ex. "blue slippers for men").

What is anchor text?
It's just a fancy word for "link text".

It's very easy to make a link, see the two examples below.
They both point to "www.blueslippers.com" and have "Blue Slippers" as anchor text.

For websites and blogs (HTML version):
Blue Slippers

For forum posts:
Blue Slippers
This is how it looks live: Blue Slippers

How do I get backlinks?
You need to post on related websites and forums, or pay someone to do it for you.

I use these two methods to get suggestions to where I can post my backlinks (I post on both follow and nofollow blogs and forums, looks more natural).

Method 1:
Use Google Alert to receive a daily list of updated related blogs:
http://www.google.com/alerts

Settings:
Search terms: "type your keyword"
Type: Blogs
How often: Once a day

Method 2:
Use Google to find related forums.
Make a signature containing your backlink.
Every time you post on these forum, then you get a backlink to your website.
4-5 posts is more than enough.

If your keyword is "Blue Slippers", then try to google something like "feet forums", "shoe forums", "footwear forums", "clothing forums", "outdoor forums" etc.

Step 7: Cost
Every business cost money to start, even a small online one.
Luckily for you, an online business only require 1/100 the cost compared to a normal offline business.

This is what you can expect to pay to get started.
Includes everything you need for 5 websites.

  • Domains (5 x $10) (ask on this forum for up to date Coupons, to save some money): $50
  • Web hosting: $8 per month
  • Micro Niche Finder (this is the most expensive one, but well worth it) (one-time payment, lifetime updates): $100

  • Total cost: $158, then $8 per month (web hosting).

That's It! Your done

I have one micro niche site that earns more than $200 per month, from that site alone.
From time to time you will hit the "jackpot" and make a site that prints money :)
